FAQ
Can I use fresh flowers to decorate my cake?
We can provide flowers to decorate your cake or for continuity liaise directly with your florist in arranging them for your cake. Please note that flowers not suitable for consumption must not come into direct contact with the cake - we cannot be liable for any contamination that may arise from misuse of fresh flowers, ribbons or any other inedible items that must be removed before the cake is served.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
All our range is made from butter, wheat (gluten) and eggs but we are able to offer gluten and nut free alternatives. However, the cakes are made in a kitchen handling these ingredients so cannot guarantee there wouldn't be cross-contamination.
Do you have cake stands available for hire?
Yes, we have a variety of cake stands available for hire. We ask that the stand is returned within three working days of your event upon which the security deposit is repaid in the absence of any damage.
How should I care for my cake?
Fondant covered cakes do not like being refrigerated! The cake should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. To enjoy cakes at their best they should be eaten with 24 hrs of collection/delivery.
What if I want to make changes or alterations to my order?
We will try to accommodate design changes to your cake that are made up to four weeks prior to the event date.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cake cancellations must be made in writing. For wedding cake orders cancelled within six weeks or celebration cake orders cancelled within four weeks of your scheduled date, the deposit is non-refundable.
Is it possible to add 'fake cake' tiers to my cake?
Fake tiers are a wonderful way to add height and stature to a wedding cake and are very popular with brides. A decorated polystyrene dummy tier (or two) are incorporated into the design which is undetectable as such. Once the cutting cermony has taken place the whole cake is taken to the kitchen to be portioned for serving. The addition of a fake tier is particularly useful in large venues where a smaller cake might look lost.
Can I order an additional 'cutting cake'?
Yes, for larger weddings with more guests to feed, an additional iced but undecorated 'cutting cake' can be ordered that would go straight to the kitchen on delivery. This can be cut and served alongside portions from the main cake on display.
Do you have any other Terms and Conditions?
These are our most popular questions but our detailed Terms and Condititons will be emailed to you on placement of an order.
